Membership

Don't Just Talk About It, BE About It

Our members change lives locally and connect with other clubs to work on international projects that address today’s most pressing challenges. Being a member is an opportunity to take action and make a difference, and it brings personal rewards and lifelong friendships in the process.

There are clubs throughout the district with each having their own form of membership (dues, attendance requirements, etc). Our club offers two membership levels; Full and Passport. Individual membership is most fitting for individuals who would like to become strongly involved with all aspects of club activity, including bi-monthly luncheons, district events, holding positions on our Board, and exercising voting rights for changes to the club, use of funds, etc. If you are a member of a company or corporation, consider a Corporate Membership, which gives all the benefits of an Individual Membership, but allows you to send a colleague from your organization in your stead when you cannot attend (exception: board meetings). Passport membership is allowed for those living outside the geographical area or who need to get their feet wet for the first year of membership and may be discussed and reviewed on a case by case basis.

If you are interested in membership, please email us at rotaryclubhollywood@gmail.com. All applications will be reviewed and applicants will be invited to attend a luncheon (other arrangements can be made for members not able to attend in person) to meet our club. If your membership application is approved, we will assist in coordinating a membership sponsor to finalize your membership.

Membership Structure

We are a nonprofit organization with an entirely volunteer membership base. All membership dues are used to fund community grants, overhead (luncheons, space rental, etc), community events (purchasing supplies for our community clean-up, donating funds/supplies to our local and international partners, etc). We believe in complete transparency; full members are invited to vote on the use of funds and all members are invited to review our annual budget.
